Mahan Mirarab
Mahan Mirarab, a composer and guitarist originally from Tehran and currently based in Vienna, represents a generation of young migrant musicians in Europe who are changing the sound borders in the music industry and are pushing for more diversity with respect to quality, dialogue, and creativity.
With his multi-neck guitar, he combines Iranian folk, European chamber music, and contemporary jazz, creating a unique style that goes beyond conventional boundaries. His compositions showcase a deep musical understanding and a commitment to breaking musical stereotypes, opening up new interpretations of different styles.
Vaak Records has collaborated with Mirarab on projects like Vaak Stage 2023 and represents him in the UK, underscoring the recognition of his talent and innovative approach within the music industry.
