Sara Amini
Sara Amini is a versatile performer, singer, and the artistic director of Seemia Theatre. Originally from Iran and now based in London, she holds a BA in Theatre Directing from Tehran University and an MA in Performance Making from Goldsmiths, University of London. She also trained with Teatr Pieśń Kozła and Ariane Mnouchkine.
Sara has worked with renowned institutions like the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), Barbican Centre, Oxford Playhouse, and Camden People's Theatre (CPT).
In music, she trained as an operatic singer under Hasmik Karapetian in Iran, began her journey with the Orff system, and played the violin. In London, she explored jazz and folk, performing in London and Berlin. Recently, she sang at the opening of the Iranian band Dammahi at the London Jazz Festival 2023.
