Iranian Band Damahi Set to Perform at EFG London Jazz Festival 2023
Exciting news! Damahi is making their debut in London at the EFG London Jazz Festival 2023. Presented by Vaak Records and Art Stage, the concert will be held at Rich Mix on November 17th.
With their boundary-pushing musical style, Damahi seamlessly blends various genres including Iranian folk music from the coastal regions of southern Iran, jazz, rock, reggae, flamenco, Afro, Latin, funk, Indian music, and more. Prepare to be captivated by their cross-border and free-spirited live performance.
Formed in 2014, the band comprises of Dara Daraee on bass, Hamzeh Yeganeh on keyboards and Benjou, Ebrahim Alavi on guitar and oud, and Reza Koolaghani on vocals.
