Woman, Life, Freedom: A Concert for the Women of Iran
Join us for a concert in support of the protests in Iran, featuring an impressive lineup of Iranian and international musicians, singers, and poets.
Women and girls across Iran have taken to the streets following the death of 22-year-old Kurdish Iranian woman, Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, while in police custody. These protests began as a demand to overturn mandatory religious dress codes, but quickly became a popular rebuke against the ruling political system.
Taking place on November 16th at London's Royal Festival Hall, this concert is a show of solidarity with the protesters as they continue to demand basic rights and liberties. It will keep the spotlight on their efforts and bravery.
The concert lineup includes Emel Mathlouthi, Faramarz Aslani, Golnar Shahyar, Kelsey Lu, Lafawndah, Lianne La Havas, London Contemporary Orchestra, Rostam Mirlashari, and Sakina Teyna, with more acts to be announced.
Please note that this is a non-profit event, aimed at keeping public and media attention on Iran's protests. Ticket sales will only cover the costs of the project, including the venue, technicians, security, and artists' travel and accommodation. Any proceeds will be donated to a relevant charity, which will be announced in due course.
